HAPPENING NOW: They Give 24/7, Now We Have One Day To Give Back

zakaravchaimkWhile we do what we can to keep ourselves & our children away from danger, there are some who run toward it. ย Those people are the search & rescue team of ZAKA.

The volunteers at ZAKA ensure a Jewish burial for victims of unnatural death. Recently, the heads of ZAKA met with Sar HaTorah HaRav Chaim Kanievsky shlit”a to discuss their questions regarding properly doing the mitzvah of giving kavod to the deceased.ย ZAKA volunteers are the last to leave a scene of a fatal incident, clearing away human remains and spilled blood. It is truly not a job for the faint of heart. However they continue on doing this important mitzvah, as well as other essential work, including searching for lost children & providing medical care to those wounded in natural disasters.

We may not be able to be ย there with them on the ground, but today we have a chance to help.ย

This year, as part of ZAKA’s Annual Day of Giving, people from all over the world will give what they can to show their support.
