Meet Ariella and Yitz from Ready Set Sem:
“The two of us met for the first time at a Shabbos meal when I was Shana Bet and Yitz was planning to draft. Didn’t really think much of it at the time. A year later, 2 months after October 7th, my family was doing shopping for Chayalim in our community and invited Yitz for a meal. He came, and we ended up talking a bit, but again, didn’t really think much of it.
Later that week, after some crazy Hashgacha Pratis moments, someone set us up. We went out and really hit it off b”H-so much so that we went out again the next day. From then on, we dated pretty seriously. It was hectic with Yitz in the army working 6 to 6, but we made it work!
We got engaged three months after we started dating, and began planning a wedding in Israel, something we had no idea how to do. Oh, and I made Aliyah because I still hadn’t finished that process.
We got married right after Lag Baomer and continued living in RBS, where we had both already been living. About six months into marriage, Yitz finished active service and went back to Yeshiva to finish Hesder.
Now for the new part of our story that we hadn’t shared yet:
We found out we were expecting Bli Ayin Hara, and I decided that it was now or never. I left my job to pursue this full-time.
We made it through a crazy few months moving back and forth every time we needed a safe room, but we did it. Yitz finished the army and started becoming a mortgage broker. I was doing Ready.Set.Sem. and some other projects. And Gavi was finally here!”
