I was babysitting my sister’s kids when my nephew had a severe allergic reaction. I called Hatzolah, and within minutes, they arrived to help. The first responder was a guy I almost married the year before. It was awkward, but he was completely professional and incredibly helpful in the emergency. After things calmed down, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that maybe we should not have broken things off. I reached out to the shadchan who set us up, and asked if she’d reconnect us. Turns out he was interested too and we’re married 4 years now 🙂
