I was on a date and we went to paint pottery. I wanted a piece from a shelf that was higher up. He offered to reach it for me and used the lowest shelf as a stepstool, and the whole thing came crashing down. He had to pay for all the pieces that broke, almost $700! I heard him telling the lady he was so embarrassed because we had just started dating, and they got on the topic of shidduch dating, and she was absolutely fascinated. We went back a week later to pick up what we painted. The lady remembered us and said she felt bad he had to pay so much last time, but unfortunately, there just wasn’t any other option. She told us that if we got married, she’d make us a wedding gift. We BH got engaged a couple of months later and went back there for a date. She totally remembered us and when she saw my ring she was so excited. We went back to pick up what we made, and she was so excited to give us a wedding gift! She painted us Mr. And Mrs. mugs thay we still use all the time 😉 ☕️
