I was meeting with a shadchan and she starts telling me about a guy who she thinks would be a really great fit for me. She told me he had just turned 28 (I’m 22) and I was okay with that. So I told the shadchan I’d give it a shot. I never saw a picture of him before hand and just trusted the shadchan that he was a good fit and sane.
A few days later was the date and I open the door and standing in front of me is a guy that had to be at least 45 no joke. I did not even know what to do. This was not the kind of date where the guy meets the parents so I was actually stuck!! Turns out he was 41 and lied to the shadchan he was 28! 🤦♀️ the shadchan had never met him in person – only over the phone 📱🙄 I was not too pleased with the shadchan that evening…
