I went out with a guy who was constantly making jokes that were not funny at all. It became a real problem because at first I would laugh to be polite, but as the jokes got worse I didn’t even realize he had said something trying to be funny.
He would often say things like “umm you forgot to laugh!” and then I would figure out he had made a joke. The jokes I did catch on to were pretty cringe ???? When the shadchan told me he didn’t think we were the best fit – I was relieved. I couldn’t imagine listening to those jokes for the next 80 years!
