I was 18 and on my very first shidduch date in a hotel lobby. My date and I were having a really hard time keeping the conversation going and he started asking me questions like “so what is your favorite color” and “do you like this lobby”… I’m pretty sure it was his first date too because he didn’t understand after a few hours he was supposed to take me home.
So this terribly awkward conversation WENT ON FOR 5 HOURS! Finally he said “well I guess we should leave now” and I had never felt so much relief in my entire life. Bh my dates since then have been a lot less awkward!
