Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah offers a wonderful opportunity for single girls to gain zechusim that will hopefully make this year the year.
Tiferes Devorah L’Kalah, Lakewood’s original Hachnosas Kallah fund, ensures that even kallahs from financially challenged families have everything they need to build their own Bayis ne’eman b’Yisroel. Hundreds of families each year are provided with a comprehensive package that includes everything from linens and towels to pots, pans, dishes, flatware, appliances, and even personal items like clothing and a shaitel. TDL ensures that kallahs and their families walk down to the chuppah with joyous hearts.
TDL’s unique Share and Care program is a beautiful way for girls who are not yet kallahs to increase their zechusim that will bez”H help their tefillos be fulfilled. As the program name implies there are two components. Share: each girl is invited to share her Tehillim name so that another anonymous individual with similar hopes will daven for her, and at the same time she will receive a different Tehillim name to daven for earning the merit of “kol hamispalel b’ad chaveiro vehu tzarich leoso davar…” The second component is Care: Participants donate and help a kallah set up her home.
